Samsung stock price went up after the regrettable event
Samsung
– the South Korean conglomerate – announced that its chairman Lee Kun-hee has passed
away.
The company announced that Lee died after six years in
hospital, from a heart attack. Lee is considered to be the one who made Samsung
a global technological and industrial networking power. “His legacy will be
everlasting,” Samsung’s statement read.
According to sources, Lee’s son will probably take over the
company. For the moment, Samsung will focus on measures made to secure
long-term growth momentum.
Their memory business, alongside the 5G technology and the
next generation of high-speed mobile internet are just a few of the expected features
to boost the 2021 earnings.
Although it is sad news for many people, the markets took
advantage of it. Upon the announcement, Samsung’s stock price gained 0.33%.
