The market stagnates in its process of recovering from the pandemic
The American unemployment claims are still high, but at the
same time, lower than the record set a few months ago.
Earlier today, the US Department of Labor reported 751,000
people that filed for unemployment benefits for the first time in the past
week. The reading came higher than the 740,000 expected. Still, it is the third
straight week when the numbers are below 800,000.
Tomorrow, another key economic reading will be released –
the non-farm payrolls. The markets are expecting almost 600,000 to have been
created in October.
